A little more
about ForShow.
We’re still building. Here’s what we can tell you now, and what we’ll confirm before launch.
The release
When is ForShow launching?
ForShow is in active development. We have not announced a release date yet. Follow the blog for progress and release news.
Which platforms will be available?
We are building toward Windows, macOS, and Linux availability. Platform-specific requirements and release timing will be published closer to launch.
Who is ForShow for?
We are starting with church production teams, but the same tools suit conferences, schools, venues, broadcasts, and any event with content to show and cues to run.
Can I try it now?
Public downloads are not available yet. We will share preview and early-access details as development progresses.
What it can do
Can I bring my PowerPoint presentations?
Yes. ForShow is being built to import a PowerPoint deck either as editable slides or as pictures that preserve its original look. Some complex objects may need a little cleanup after import.
Can one event have different looks on different screens?
Yes. ForShow is designed around outputs that can select their own layers, language, and visual look, including dedicated stage displays.
Does it replace my video and streaming setup?
ForShow is bringing slides, live visuals, media, cameras, audio mixing, and recording into one workflow. ForStream is being developed for cloud delivery. Your exact camera, audio, network, and destination setup still matters.
Can I mix video clips live?
Yes. The Clip Deck puts slides and media on layers. You can launch a clip or a column, adjust layer opacity, and use transitions, cues, macros, or MIDI to change the look.
Can I customize how the app looks?
Yes. Choose a bundled appearance theme or create your own in the Theme editor. This changes the production workspace, not the slides shown to the audience.
What happens if my internet connection drops during a stream?
ForStream is being designed to keep a local copy, retry uploads, and use a cloud buffer to ride through interruptions. We will publish tested limits and service availability before launch.
Can I add my own tools?
Yes. You can write QML panel plugins, edit them in Scripts, and use the assistant to help create a panel for a specific job. Plugins are trusted local code.
Will I need to render motion graphics before the event?
No for designs made with ForShow’s live tools. Slides, effects, and animation are drawn as the show runs. You can also bring existing video loops or export a slide to video when that suits your setup.
Plans and access
How much will ForShow cost?
Pricing is coming soon. We will publish plans, what is included, and any ForStream usage details before opening public access.
Will the motion presets be free?
Our goal is to launch with a substantial free library of editable motion designs. We are still finalizing the catalog and will publish its exact contents at release.
Can I sync my content across computers?
Cloud sync is planned, but it is not part of the current workflow. The current app can move presentations and playlists between computers using import and export. We will share sync availability as the release takes shape.
Make room for what’s next.
